INCA Exhibition ‘Data Materialities’ successfully opens in Bologna

On September 20, the INCA Exhibition “Data Materialities” was officially inaugurated in Bologna, in the historic Sala d’Ercole of Palazzo d’Accursio.

The event opened at 5:00 PM with a welcome address by Marta Meloni from Fondazione IU Rusconi Ghigi. Afterwards, project coordinator Edoardo Mollona introduced the INCA project, followed by Maurilio Pirone from the University of Bologna, who explained the motivations behind organizing the exhibition.

More than 20 participants had the opportunity to explore the installation, guided by curator Carmen Lael Hines together with the artists behind the works: Morgane Billuart, McClain Clutter, and Cyrus Peñarroyo (EXTENTS), and Raúl Silva. The artists provided in-depth insights into each of the artworks.

A buffet reception followed, offering participants a chance to network and exchange ideas around the project.

The opening was a great success, and we look forward to welcoming many more visitors until the exhibition closes on October 12. If you are in Bologna, don’t miss it — it’s well worth a visit!

And remember, the exhibition programme includes more interesting events:

  • Wednesday, October 1, 6:00 PM: Talk with Letizia Chiappini (Slutty Urbanism) and Benjamin Gerdes (Ghost Platform Project), Sala Tassinari, Palazzo d’Accursio (Bologna)
  • Wednesday, October 8, 6:00 PM: Talk with Lua Vollaard (Superkilo Girls) and Lorenza Pignatti (NABA Milano), Sala Tassinari, Palazzo d’Accursio (Bologna)
