Description

How does a “like” materialize? How many deserts turn into processors? Where does the labor that connects us hide?

In the folds of everyday digital life—where every click seems magical and every package appears to arrive “out of nowhere”—this exhibition brings to the surface what the illusion of the virtual tends to hide: the material.

Virtualità Materiali is the second stop of the INCA exhibition “Data Materialities”, which was first shown in Bologna from September 20 to October 12, and this edition will include new features and additions. It invites visitors to look beyond the screen and discover the infrastructures, bodies, and natural resources that lie behind every interaction with our devices.

The exhibition features six installations, showcasing the works of EXTENTS (McClain Clutter & Cyrus Peñarroyo), Morgane Billuart, Rául Silva, soju.studio, and Omar Tigrini. In addition, four public events will be part of the program, providing opportunities for discussion at the intersection of art, technology, and society.
