INCA Consortium Meeting in Lisbon

11 April 2025 By

From April 9 to 11, nearly 30 INCA partners participated in the Consortium Meeting held in Lisbon, organized by the Collaborative Laboratory for Work, Employment, and Social Protection (CoLABOR).

As the project enters its final year, we are shifting our focus from theoretical and field research to data analysis and impact activities. This meeting in the Portuguese capital has been essential for sharing the results achieved so far and outlining the steps for the project’s final phase.

After the welcome ceremony that marked the beginning of the meeting on Wednesday evening at the Jose Saramago Foundation, the agenda for the morning of April 10 focused on reviewing the progress made on work packages that currently comprise the largest number of active tasks:

  • Public perceptions of Big Tech corporations (WP6)
  • Open Innovation Labs (WP7)
  • Innovating Corporate Governance (WP8)
  • Formation, Inclusion and New Languages for European Citizens (WP9)

On the other hand, on Thursday afternoon, roundtable discussions were held focusing on the areas where Big Tech companies have significant influence: politics, economics, and culture. During a three-hour session, various members from INCA took 10-minute turns presenting their research findings. This activity offered a valuable opportunity for the collaborative sharing of essential research insights among the different units and opened up possibilities for further collaboration.

Finally, today, Friday, the meeting focused on topics related to communication and dissemination activities, the Think Tank we are preparing, and the book we plan to publish.

In short, once again, it was a full and fruitful meeting which recharged our batteries for the final stretch of the project!
