On 28 November, a Joint International Workshop will take place in Lisbon, organized by the Institute of Contemporary History of Lisbon and the University of Bologna, in collaboration with COLABOR, INCA, IN2PAST, and the University of Évora.
Several partners from INCA are participating in the event titled “Global Infrastructures: Aesthetic Power and Affective Networks in the (Post)Colonial Present.” Members from CoLABOR, Unibo, and SUPSI will serve as moderators and speakers during various activities throughout the event’s program.
The workshop aims to focus on infrastructures as semiotic and aesthetic vehicles. It promotes a collective investigation of the aesthetic and affective dimension of global infrastructures, with an emphasis on how it interacts with colonial projects, capitalist enterprises and cultural superstructures.
