INCA Final Conference concludes looking ahead to improving platform organisations
On January 22, the second and final day of the INCA Final Conference took place in Brussels, bringing together project researchers and representatives of the European Commission at the Emilia-Romagna Region delegation.
The day focused on how to improve platform organisations, exploring the potential of alternative platforms, methodological approaches to action research, and codes of conduct for fairer corporate governance in the platform economy.
The conference also welcomed the participation of Alexandre Ruiz (European Commission – DG CONNECT), who reflected on the achievements of the Digital Markets Act in promoting fairness and contestability across the digital sector.
As the conference concluded, the INCA team leaves Brussels energized and motivated to tackle the final two months of the project, with a strong commitment not only to ensuring that its findings reach the widest possible audience, but also to building a lasting legacy. This includes the continued work of initiatives such as the Big Tech Watch Think Tank, the upcoming release of the INCA documentary, and the ongoing journey of the project’s recommendations and conclusions beyond its formal lifetime.
