Successful Launch of INCA Educational Module in Bologna
On 10 October 2025, the INCA educational module was publicly launched at Sala Anziani, Palazzo d’Accursio, Bologna, as part of the activities accompanying the INCA exhibition. The launch event was attended by four classes of students, twelve teachers, and various institutional stakeholders, giving them the opportunity to learn about the contents and rationale of the newly developed educational module.
The module, developed through co-creation between INCA researchers from SUPSI and teachers from the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Mattei (Bologna), has been tested multiple times in classrooms to refine its approach. It is designed to equip high school students with critical tools to understand and interpret the digital ecosystem in which they have grown up.
Key themes of the module include the social, ecological, and urban impact of digital platforms, the influence of GAFAM in reshaping economic and political systems, the significance of new technological frontiers in AI for transforming learning processes, and the role of infrastructures in understanding how the digital world operates
Structured as a set of four lessons, the module is intended for wide adoption in schools across Europe and aims to be replicated in the coming years to enrich educational curricula and teaching programs. In the coming weeks, a downloadable kit will be made available on the INCA website, presenting the module, its educational tools, and pedagogical methods. We hope it will contribute to a more informed and digitally literate generation.
