
Final Event of Bucharest OIL
On September 16, 2025, the Final Event of the Bucharest Open Innovation Lab (OIL) within INCA took place at Seneca Anticafe, Bucharest, marking the conclusion of the co-design process. The event was organized by the INCA partner URBASOFIA, in collaboration with the Asociatia de Dezvoltare Intercomunitara Zona Metropolitana Bucuresti (ADIZMB), and coordinated by Pietro Elisei (Director of URBASOFIA), Giorgia Romagnoli, and Valentina Stan.
The main aim of the event was to present and discuss the “Guidelines for developing an alternative platform for Bucharest” with local stakeholders and to formally conclude the OIL experience in Bucharest.
A total of 14 participants attended, representing a diverse range of stakeholders, including local, urban, and metropolitan authorities, NGOs, tech experts, and universities.
Key highlights of the event included:
- An evening of dialogue and knowledge exchange on INCA-related topics, the outcomes of the Bucharest OIL, and local digital needs.
- Presentation of the guide as a foundation for a new approach to digital urban platforms.
- Exploration of future opportunities and potential funding for a platform that strengthens communication between administrations and citizens, while enhancing public participation.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for collaboration and discussion, reinforcing the importance of participatory approaches to digital urban solutions.
