On 16-18 October, the 7th edition of the Social Boundaries of Work International Conference was held in Wroclaw, co-organised by INCA members from the University of Wroclaw.

Under the title ‘Social Boundaries of Work. Critical Labour Studies in the Times of a Polycrisis’, the conference analyzed the relationship between academia and labour in the context of overlapping and reinforcing socio-economic crises.

Within the programme, on 17 October, our colleague Olga Gitkiewicz (University of Wrocław) presented the findings of the INCA team. With her presentation entitled ‘Giants on digital legs: How big tech platforms (GAFAM) are changing the world of work and labour struggles’, the researcher presented the conclusions drawn from the analysis of work experiences at Amazon, and how collective action is (or is not) possible in such a labour organisation.
