The INCA partner Niccolò Cuppini, from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI), has curated the last issue (Vol. 35 No. 69) of the journal SCIENZA &POLITICA – per una storia delle dottrine, published by the Department of Arts of the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna.

Within this issue, Niccolò has also published a peer-reviewed article entitled “Infrastructure and Platforms. Emerging Political Mutations”. This work is structured in three parts. Initially, it defines a series of frameworks to delineate the morpho-genetic background of the emergence and consolidation of infrastructural and platform capitalism. Secondly, it outlines the current characteristics of platforms and infrastructures, their mutual articulation, and their relationship with a constellation of other powers. The third section discusses the terms through which the power described by the convergence of “platformization of infrastructures” and “infrastructuring of platforms” defines unprecedented forms compared to the past, advancing three analytical proposals: the need to “overcome” the codification of “infrastructural power”, the emergence of “algorithmic power”, and its “dual” nature.
